Woom 4 Review

Woom has been pushing the weights and geometry of kids bikes for a few ears now. It's hard to believe, but each iteration of the various models keep getting better. With the Woom 4 we see things like an adjustable reach stem that grows the bike with your kiddo. A lot of time and effort is but in to these bikes and the end product show this. Thanks to Woom for providing us with a Woom 4 to review.

Woom 3 Review

The Bike Dads' Take:

"With the woom 4, we see woom’s smallest geared bike aimed at 6-9 year olds in the 45- 51 inch height range. At just over 16 lbs this is one of the lightest 20 inch bikes available. This makes a huge difference for smaller and newer riders whereby they can easily maneuver the bike, initiate pedaling and get the bike up to speed. Combined with this light weight, the sram grip shift x4 drivetrain offers a range of 11-28T rear cassette to have the kids cranking up hills and whipping around the cul de sac with ease. " -Colin

My son rode a balance bike and then graduated to a Woom 3 . Would you see any problems with skipping him straight to a Woom 5 after he gets too tall for the Woom 3? I did some growth chart calculations and predict he’s only going to be ‘between sizes’ (too tall for W3 and too short for W5) for about eight months, and my wallet hurts when I consider buying a Woom 4 and then a Woom 5 a year later.

Hi Tony, We recommend getting them on a wheelsize that fits according to their inseam size. When looking at Woom’s you can be confident you will sell it for 80% of its value after a year.
