KIDS FULL FACE HELMETS

A top-notch full-face mountain bike helmet for kids should prioritize safety, featuring durable construction with advanced impact-absorbing materials and a secure, customizable fit for optimal protection during accidents or collisions. Furthermore, efficient ventilation systems and a lighter weight are essential to prevent overheating and neck strain in kids during rigorous rides, ensuring comfort and safety. Lastly, a concussion force reduction technology like MIPS, while not essential is a nice addition for minimal cost.

Bell Sanction Full Face

At a minimum head circumference (circumference just above brow line) of 52 cm for a size small, it was one of the smallest helmets I could find for my 7 year old that was sub $100.  Also, with a weight of 850 grams (1.8 lbs), it was also one of the lightest helmets I could find. The buckle closure is great for little kids compared to a D ring. Comparative weight helmets are almost always made from carbon fiber and can run $250 dollars plus. It even comes in size XS 48-50 cm. Intention is not for DH, more of a dirtjump and BMX helmet.
