Just bought everything from UC. Piece of cake! Showed as in stock, was having a dickens of a time finding the derailleur in stock anywhere but saw this and bingo. Replacing drivetrain on Spec Riprock 24. My kid kept yelling back to me when climbing “I need another gear!!! Where’s my granny gear!” This should fix… haha! Kinda wish the front chainring and cranks weren’t riveted together otherwise I’d do a 30t up there too…

    Thx!

Newbie question, once you have it set to use the clutch mode, why would you ever turn it off? Another way to put it, what’s the reason of having both options in a derailleur instead of it being in clutch mode all the time?

    Thanks

This is a stiffer clutch setting and to get the wheel off you want to disengage the clutch mech to get slack in the chain.

If I understand your question, you need to disengage the clutch to work on the derailleur or to remove the wheel or at least that is how it is with other clutch derailleurs I’ve used.
