Guardian Bikes have really carved out a unique space in the kids bike market. Their Shark Tank presented Surestop technology essentially limits the dreaded endo or over the bars crash. A single lever activates rear brake and mech that also initiates front brake without locking that front brake on the rim...think anti-lock brakes for your kids bike. For the safety conscience parent that wants to see their kids grinning from ear to ear while zipping around the neighborhood, Guardian Bikes checks a lot of boxes. Thanks to Guardian for providing the bike for review.

The Bike Dads' Take:
"A perfect neighborhood commuter, the Guardian 16 tickled pink my little 5 year old. Small Q factor, light weight and the Surestop brake technology make this little bike a great match for kiddos learning to ride and enjoying freedom of roaming the cul-de-sac on two wheels. With an expanding color range there is sure to be something for every wide eyed child out there. " -Jack
Curious how the 16” guardian bike handles on dirt. Any insight, please share.
With wide tires, they do just fine on light dirt paths but by no means are they mountain bikes.
Hi Jack, The review is helpful. I bought this bike for my 5 year old boy. The best part is we get 30 days trail period with this bike. Sure Stop braking technology will ensure the security. Assembling this bike was super easy. Every kid will love this light weight bike.
