Giant Faith 24″ Review

Real Suspension, Finally

What separates the Faith 24 from the pack is its legitimate suspension setup—this is no budget air shock slapped on a small frame. Up front, the Crest TR Elite Lite fork delivers 140mm of tuned travel with a youth-specific FloTune damper, making the ride buttery and composed even when the trail gets busy. Out back, the Crest FloTrac Lite shock (165x45mm) is custom-tuned for lighter riders, allowing the 130mm of FlexPoint suspension to actually do its job.

Whether rolling rock gardens, eating up roots, or charging into descents, the suspension on this bike doesn't just "feel better than a hardtail"—it feels like a scaled-down enduro bike, and that’s a big deal.

The intuitive setup of the Crest suspension (both fork and rear) makes tuning easy. Pre-calculated air pressure and rebound settings are printed directly on the fork, simplifying adjustments for Mom and Dad, ensuring they can quickly dial in performance for kiddo.

For years as Bikedads we have constantly been having to deal with trying to get suspension on kids bikes that is active and maintains ride height and suppleness. Giant have definitely knock it out of the park on this one!

Built for Real Trails, Not Just Looks

The frame geometry is dialed. The low standover, modern trail angles, and wide bars (680mm) make it feel stable and composed without sacrificing nimbleness. The Maxxis Minion DHF and DHR II tires (both tubeless-ready with EXO protection) hook up reliably across surfaces, and the Wide Guard wheels are built tough for real riding. Hydraulic brakes, a 10-speed microSHIFT drivetrain, and a chain guide come standard—this thing is ready out of the box.

For the Everyday Trail Kid

While some 24” bikes are clearly built for mini park rats or future World Cup stars, the Faith 24 is a little more grounded. It’s for the trail kid who loves the flow, notices the difference a good fork makes, and is starting to appreciate line choice. It handles XC, trail center loops, and techy descents with composure and comfort. It’s not just for hucking—but it can handle that too.

Dropper Post = Big Kid Confidence

The Giant Contact Switch AT Lite dropper post is another standout feature. With an adjustable 70–100mm of drop and a lightweight remote, it lets kids confidently switch positions for climbs and descents, just like the grown-ups. This is especially great for kids who are still building body position awareness; with one push, they’re in the right place for any trail feature.

A lot of posts on the market today take a lot of weight to push them down, and the Switch post is the best post we have tried yet. Kids especially on the 20" and 24" bikes usually have a lot going on, with shifting and looking ahead on the trail, and dropping a dropper post when you stop is another element that kids need to learn. So often with other posts on the market, mom or dad have to help kids drop their post to get back on their bikes as kids forgot to drop the post then they stopped and cant get back on the bike. The Giant switch post has been the easiest post for kids to get to used to and use efficiently and effectively.

For the Everyday Kid- Trail or Hard Charger

While some 24” bikes are clearly built for mini park rats or future World Cup stars, the Faith 24 is a little more grounded. It’s for the trail kid who loves the flow, notices the difference a good fork makes, and is starting to appreciate line choice. It handles XC, trail center loops, and techy descents with composure and comfort. It’s not just for hucking—but it can handle that too.

And Yes, For the Hard Chargers Too

If your kid is pushing jumps, riding bike parks, or looking for the gnarliest line, the Faith 24 holds up. It's built tough. The frame, hubs, and rims all have a more serious feel than many other 24” bikes. The burly tires, powerful brakes, and beefy contact points won’t flinch under a more aggressive rider. While it may carry more weight than some featherweight XC rigs, the reward is a platform that lets a skilled kid ride harder and faster without upgrades. This bike is at home rocking Squamish slabs, Bike parks or anything that Bentonville can throw at it.

The Microshift 1x10 drivetrain, paired with an 11-48t cassette, offers a wide range of gears perfect for climbs and fast descents. The Microshift groupset is a little heavier than some other uber fancy and expensive options out there, but bike after bike it pweforms flawlessly on all the bikes we have tested it with.

The Giant’s TRA tubeless wheels (with 30 mm internal width) help prevent pinch flats, particularly when paired with Maxxis Minion tires. These tires, combined with the tubeless setup, offer exceptional traction on loose, rocky, or muddy terrain, giving young riders the confidence to push their limits.

Pros

  • Outstanding suspension performance—best in the category hands down
  • Dropper post and lever is smooth, effortless initiation, and super kid-friendly
  • Confident trail geometry
  • Proper length cranks
  • Microshift drivetrain worked flawlessly
  • Smaller diameter handlebar and grips
  • Raw finish frame- wow!

Cons

  • Heavier than other lighter trail rigs in its category
  • Overbuilt for casual or newer riders
  • It is a larger fitting 24”, which can be a pro or con depending on where your kid’s height is at

Bottom Line

The Giant Faith 24 is what happens when a brand takes youth trail riding seriously. Built for kids who crave real trail feel—not just park laps or gravel paths—this bike is a standout in the 24” full-suspension category. With suspension that performs, a dropper post scaled for smaller riders who don't weigh a lot, and a spec sheet that rivals many adult bikes, the Faith 24 offers a truly next-level ride quality. Whether your kid is linking together flow trails or learning how to handle tech, this bike delivers control, confidence, and pure fun.

Final Thoughts

The Giant Faith 24 hits a sweet spot in the youth full-suspension market. It’s not just about “big send energy”—it’s about trail flow, control, comfort, and progression. The high-end suspension and geometry are what truly elevate this bike, offering a riding experience that feels way beyond “just a kid’s bike.”

If you’re raising a trail rider who appreciates a good descent, asks questions about damping, or is simply ready for a bike that matches their love of the sport, the Faith 24 is it.

"The Test bike that made the kids cry when it left the garage. The Faith 24" is the real deal! Whether your kid is looking for a bike to help build confidence or you need to have confidence in the bike as your little shredder is sending it to the moon on the regular, the Faith 24" should be on your shortlist. While it could use to loose a few pounds, the suspension and geometry outshine to make it is our Top Pick in the 24" full suspension category." Jack
