Press Release: Kommit retractable tow rope is here

Kommit | ride together – your bike towing system for shared fun!

“Hey dad, can we ride the trail again, it was so cool?“ “kommit (german:“come on“), I’ll pull you up.“

It‘s the same or similar for many parents on a biking tour with their children. At some point the kids will run out of power and this is exactly where the kommit bike towing system comes in, designed and developed in Bavaria. It is small, light and intuitive to use. Let yourself be inspired by this effective problem solver. The kommit will playfully extend your bike tour by many more kilometres together.

kommit – your bike towing system for shared biking fun!

“The innovative towing system from Bavaria for small bikers will guarantee relaxed biking fun for the whole family.“

Finally ready: Robert Rieger, one of the CEOs of RideTime GmbH, and his creative companion, Frank Hofmann, hold the first “kommit“ in their hands – an innovative new towing system for young bikers that guarantees riding fun in every terrain and at every fitness level, for all family members.

“It was born more or less out of necessity, as we wanted to continue our nature biking tours with the whole family after our kids became too big for the trailer. Therefore I spent a lot of time thinking about a possible solution, so that even our youngest could ride ascents with us, but still stay in control.“

“Out of this idea and many hand-made prototypes, which started from a single piece of climbing rope, we‘re proud to have a market-ready product that complies with all the standards.“

Frank Hofmann explains: “the housing of the kommit is attached to the saddle braces of the towing bike. The end of the towing line, which can be pulled out of the housing, has a loop which the child can easily hook in and out to the stem by himself. The goal was to create a simple and intuitive product. It takes a back seat underneath the saddle – but is there when you need it.“

Over a period of two years Robert Rieger tested the towing system hundreds of times on his Heumöderntrails with his son. His boy is now 7 years old and still enjoys when his dad or mum pull him uphill on steeper mountains.

With the kommit, the child still has full control of the bike, which also fosters individual coordination and concentration. For a biking tour in nature, especially in these times when indoor sports facilities are closed, the kommit is available at the right time. It can be purchased worldwide for a price of  $59.95 USD from www.kommit-bike.de.

Yes, they will ship to North America...
